Ed Pilkington is the Chief Reporter of the Guardian in the U.S., covering a wide range of subjects that include criminal justice, race, the South and immigration. Previously he was a senior editor in the Guardian’s London offices, where he served as national news editor, international news editor and Saturday features editor. He is author of Beyond the Mother Country: West Indians and the Notting Hill Race Riots.
